I think it’s important to let yourself show your heart like that.” \nIn the making of Magnetic Moves\, Toupin let her intuition guide her to everything from the harmony-heavy gospel of “Lost Sometimes” to the Beatles-esque psych-pop of “In Your Dreams” (with both tracks featuring the showstopping vocals of Austin-based soul singers Lauren Marie and Angela Miller). As Toupin explains\, the album’s imaginative sonic palette has much to do with the unprecedented freedom she felt her entire time in the studio. “Making this record with people I didn’t already know was an incredibly liberating factor\,” she points out. “When people have preconceived notions of who you are and what you do\, it can really hold you back. But with this album I was able step way outside my comfort zone—I felt confident to do things I would’ve normally been afraid of.” \nFor Toupin\, eliminating those expectations ultimately elevated her to a new and far more fulfilling level of self-expression—an element she hopes might leave an indelible impact on the listener. “I’m such a romantic\, and I’d never felt like I could really own that the way I did on this record\,” she says. “In the past there was an agreement as to what you could say in a song and what you couldn’t say\, what was cool and what wasn’t cool. When people hear this album\, I hope they come away with a really strong feeling of love\, whether it’s romantic or some other form. I want everyone to feel okay just wearing their heart on their sleeve.” \nAbout The Minks:\nListen | Watch Video  \nThe Minks are Nashville’s “psychedelic-bloos” band\, heavy on the rock and roll. We’re talking low-down\, all the way\, purse-lipped\, eyes-shut\, head-whirling kind of rock and roll. The band’s palpable sound has roots in every music fan’s top ten—from Lou to Patti to Creedence to Hank. Mixed with raw\, jangly instrumentation and soulful saccharine vocals\, it’s as much a throwback as it is an answer to the often overlooked underbelly of Nashville’s rock and roll scene. \nFront woman Nikki Barber hightailed it to Music City a few years back in hopes of pursuing her musical birthright. With just a guitar and a dream\, she created The Minks because she had to. It was this “create or combust” determination\, and a little help from her friends\, that made her vision a reality. With a few hundred miles\, a couple of EPs\, some new faces\, and a slew of local buzz under their belts\, the band sets out to release their first full-length record (Light and Sweet) this Fall through Cafe Rooster Records and tour for forever.

Filled with a weight\, honesty and gritty-hope from rustbelt city life\, McKinley rolled downriver to Memphis to Sun Studio where Grammy Award-winning producer Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell\, Margo Price\, John Prine) gathered a working man’s all-star band to record his Oh Boy Records debut\, “Die Midwestern.” \nMcKinley’s 10 original songs bleed truth and emotion from a heart scarred by wild nights and redeemed by Sunday morning confessions. “She’s Always Around\,” “Suicidal Saturday Night\,” “Bag of Pills” and “Ghost” – a song he wrote in a funeral home parking lot after carrying the coffin of his best friend – are all songs carved out in the key of life. \nIn “Ghost” McKinley pours out the pain of his personal loss. “It felt too real to be a dream/We were getting high on gasoline/sitting on the banks where the river bends/and we laughed and danced and sang and we talked about everything/Sitting here with the ghost of my best friend.” \nOn “Bag of Pills\,” McKinley testifies from the shadows of the night … “All I need now\, I don’t want/All I loved now\, it’s all gone to my head/Tell Jesus\, Can you save me?/Didn’t think so – guess you’re too busy/I guess we’re all too busy.” In the hope filled “Once Again\,” McKinley leaves an open door to find hope and love again. “My heart is rusting/I’ve been broken/I’ve been busted/but if you tell me I can trust it/Maybe this heart can love once again.” \nShaped in equal parts by the raw honesty of his raising in the church and punk teenage years\, McKinley said that thread still runs so true in the open honesty of his songwriting. \n“I am telling my truth and that is it and hopefully it relates to people\,” McKinley says of the songs on “Die Midwestern. “I know some musicians write story songs about other things\, but I can’t be that musician. I have to write about my experience. ‘Ghost (Of My Best Friend’)\, I was at Patrick’s funeral and we all left. I sang at the funeral and I am sitting in the car and was crying and wrote ‘Ghost.’ That was the moment and I was in it.” \nLike a musical brethren of Lucero\, McKinley has been making a name for himself around the country in that unassuming\, blue-collar way – humbly stacking piles of soulful songs that hurt so real and so good. Along the way\, he has shared stages with kindred musical spirits John Moreland\, Jason Isbell\, Justin Townes Earle\, and contemporary rising singer/songwriters Tyler Childers\, Ian Noe and Colter Wall. \nMcKinley says he hopes when people spin “Die Midwestern” that it churns up emotions even if the songs mean something different to other people. \n“I hope they walk away knowing they saw someone who is telling their raw\, honest story\,” McKinley says. “I gave them that emotion and I don’t want anybody to be neutral about it. I’d rather you walk out and say you hate it. It is a wild thing to play your songs\, it is like time freezes for a moment and everybody listens. Hopefully\, they walk out from a show knowing they are not the only ones feeling the way they are feeling.” \nAbout Ritch Henderson\nListen | Watch Video \nA Northern Alabama Native\, Ritch Henderson  has an eclectic style that is uniquely Southern. His early major influences are  Led Zeppelin\, Jim Croce\, Janis Joplin\, The Steve Miller Band\, The Eagles & Lynyrd Skynyrd. \nIn 2002 Ritch’s mom gave him the records “Heartbreaker”\, by Ryan Adams and “Yourself Or Someone Like You”\, by Matchbox Twenty as Christmas gifts\,  and a lifelong love affair with lyrical intention began. \nWhen Ritch was Sixteen years of age\, his sister Introduced him to the music and composition of local Rock and Roll band: The Drive-By Truckers\, and a songwriter was born. \nHis later influences are The Turnpike Troubadours\, Chris Knight\, and most recently John Fullbright\, and John R. Miller \n  \nAbout Eric Bolander: \nListen | Watch Video \nEric Bolander’s flavor of Americana/folk music offers soulful vocal tone with thoughtful melodies that have staying power.  Lyrically driven by life experiences\, Eric’s songs will give you a glimpse into his life and a realization that happiness can be perpetuated through pain.\nEric grew up in the small eastern KY town of Garrison in the Ohio River Valley along the foothills of Appalachia (pop. 1400).  He learned through his Dad to work for what you want/need and never take someone for granted.  Love and work ethic were driving forces of his humble upbringing.  Eric now lives and works out of Lexington\, KY.  He’s called Lexington home for most of his adult life.  An Art Teacher by day and Musician by night\, Eric’s mind is always immersed in the arts.  Passion for the arts is what keeps him moving forward.

The band– packing a three-vocalist punch in Taylor\, singer-guitarist Ricky Young and singer-bassist Joel King\, along with drummer Ben Dumas – embrace their more countrified influences. Sounding partly like a lost Eagles album and the record Tom Petty never got to make\, the song satisfies with thick harmonies\, jangly guitars\, Ben’s in-the-pocket beat and smart\, tight songwriting. \nTheir magic lies in their collaborations with one another. It’s a fact of which each musician is keenly aware. “We’re all smart enough to realize that while we’re pretty good on our own\, we’re great together\,” says Ricky. “Whatever this is\, it’s special.” \n—————————- \nAbout Jake Schlegel\nListen | Watch Video  \nThere’s an authenticity in Indianapolis based Jake Schlegel’s vocals and the sharp observations that binds each of us his songs beautifully. This is quite possibly the best evidence that he has been on this planet before. As somewhat of a veteran in the songwriting and performance arena\, Schlegel’s infectious\, yet thought provoking songwriting is delighting audiences show after show.
Schlegel’s debut album\, East City Lights\, has rapidly begun to cement him in the hearts and minds of Midwest music fans. The album contains an overarching theme that this life is a series of journeys. These songs are a breath of fresh air from a delightfully unique\, determined\, and devoted songwriter.

SUMMARY:Postponed: Hairbanger's Ball at HI-FI Annex
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: POSTPONED\nHAIRBANGER’S BALL\nW/ THE SEDONAS\nHI-FI ANNEX INDIANAPOLIS\nHairbangers Ball show at HI-FI Annex has been postponed. We are currently working on a reschedule date. Hang on to your tickets and we will notify you of the rescheduled date just as soon as we have one. Please direct any questions to boxoffice@mokbpresents.com. You can follow our ongoing list of affected shows here: http://bit.ly/mokb-hifi-covid19updates \n—————————- \nAbout Hairbanger’s Ball\nWatch Video  \nRolling through the “Decade of Decadence” like a 50-ton freight train\, iconic bands such as Guns N’ Roses\, Mötley Crüe\, Bon Jovi\, and Poison (to mention only a few) made the 1980’s a musical era the likes of which we’re doubtful to see again. Millions upon millions of records were sold\, and concert venues around the world sold out within seconds when these bands were announced as headliners… \nIn 2001\, lamenting the heyday of hairbands\, one Chicago band sought to rekindle the flame for these Gods of Rock by tapping into the nostalgic and undeniable energy of that bygone era. They called themselves Hairbanger’s Ball. \nBorn from a “what if?” scenario\, Hairbanger’s Ball has entrenched themselves as one of the most sought after “80’s Hair Rock Tribute Bands” in the United States after years of performing sold out shows from coast to coast\, all while exuding the same expert musicianship and flair for the theatrical as their idols. Now on the cusp of celebrating 15 years in existence\, Hairbanger’s Ball has been a mainstay in music for longer than some of their celebrity counterparts\, and routinely perform over 150 shows a year. \nWhether you’re looking to bring back the memory of a favorite concert seen in 1985 or seeking a true-to-life representation of what a rock concert was like in the 80’s\, Hairbanger’s Ball provides both the music and the mayhem for young and old alike\, bundled together in a 6-piece\, high octane lineup. Featuring powerful male and female lead vocals\, some serious ax grinding and renditions of classic songs so much like the original you’d swear you’d gone back in time\, Hairbanger’s Ball leaves nothing to be desired after seeing and listening to them live\, which is why they’ve been named “Best Rock Band” in Chicago by their throngs of adoring fans. \nIn addition to traditional concert venues\, Hairbanger’s Ball is also available for bookings at club venues\, private events and parties\, weddings\, and corporate gatherings\, having entertained heavy-hitters such as KIA Motors\, Miller Brewing Company\, AOL\, The Phoenix Open\, the United States Armed Forces\, and many more.

When you’re struggling in the moment\, it can feel like you’re the only one\, but that’s just not the truth. I wanted to make a record to remind you that you’re not alone.” \nIt makes sense\, then\, that Frasco’s rousing new LP\, ‘Keep On Keepin’ On\,’ lands somewhere between an emotionally raw therapy session and a rowdy house party. Produced in part by Widespread Panic’s Dave Schools and in part by former Awolnation keyboardist Kenny Carkeet\, the collection finds Frasco digging deeper than he’s ever dug before\, fusing ecstatic rock and soul with infectious pop and funk as he grapples with the kind of demons he’s spent the better part of his adult life running from. The songs here are blunt in their honesty and unsparing in their self-examination\, but they remain\, at their core\, works of great hope and promise. They’re the work of a man who’s been through the darkest part of the night and\, now that dawn is finally breaking\, is ready to share his story. \n“Making this record helped me accept that I needed therapy in my life\,” Frasco explains. “I always used to think I was too proud or too strong to have a therapist\, but I realized that was all bullshit. I’m not always the fun\, wild guy people see onstage\, and it felt like time to talk about who I really am.” \nBorn and raised in California\, Frasco’s first exposure to the music industry came not onstage\, but rather in an office. As a young teenager\, he worked with legendary indie label Drive-Thru Records and helped book bands like Hellogoodbye\, and by the time he turned 18\, he’d already moved to New York City for a gig with Atlantic Records. When the job fell through\, though\, Frasco made a leap of faith and decided to launch his own career as an artist\, taking everything he’d learned working with other bands and applying it to himself. \n“I figured I could teach myself an instrument\, book my own tours\, and try to write some songs that’d help make the world go round\,” he says. “I bought a van with my bar mitzvah money\, called about 3\,000 venues\, and managed to book myself 200 shows in that first year alone.” \nInitially\, Frasco hired local pickup musicians off of Craigslist to back him for gigs\, but soon he put together a steady(ish) lineup\, and Andy Frasco & The U.N. began taking the world by storm. Since its inception\, the group would release a series of acclaimed records\, share bills with the likes of Leon Russell\, Galactic\, Gary Clark\, Jr.\, The Revivalists\, and Marcus King among others\, and slay festival stages everywhere from Mountain Jam in the U.S. to Rock am Ring in Germany and COTAI Jazz & Blues in China (this summer\, Frasco will appear at both Bonnaroo and FloydFest). NME hailed the constantly evolving group as “party-starting touring stalwarts\,” while Relix praised their “raucous energy\,” and Clash lauded their live show as a “nightly high-octane experience that doubles as a celebration of life and music…energized by a powerfully entertaining multi-cultural soundtrack that will shake the foundations of all nearby structures.” \nEvery party has to end sometime\, though\, and while it seemed Frasco was living out his rock and roll dreams on tour\, he was facing an internal darkness few knew about. \n“I hit a breaking point\,” he explains. “Last year\, I was sitting alone in my van\, and I realized that I didn’t know who my friends were. Worse\, I didn’t know who I was. I was drinking too much\, I was addicted to cocaine\, and I was dealing with really heavy depression. I even contemplated suicide\, but I decided that if I’m fortunate enough to leave behind a legacy\, I didn’t want to be remembered just as some good-time party guy. I wanted to show people that I’m more than the crowd-surfing\, Jameson-drinking maniac they see onstage.” \nSo\, for the first time in his life\, Frasco began writing poetry. The idea was that the poems would eventually become songs\, but Frasco decided to start just the words to ensure that his message of survival and resilience remained at the heart of everything he did. He wrote about despair and anxiety\, about friendship and growth\, about accountability and potential. Whenever he could scrape together a few days off from tour\, he’d fly home to LA to work with Carkeet or head to Richmond to collaborate with Schools on transforming the poems into defiant rock and roll anthems. Over the course of a single 100-night stretch\, Andy Frasco & the U.N. played 81 shows and managed to record the entire album with the remaining 19 days. \n“What can I say?” Frasco laughs. “I like to work.” \nThe joy Frasco takes in his work is obvious from the very start of ‘Keep On Keepin’ On\,’ which roars out of the gate with the thrilling title track. Inspired in part by the story of comedian Gary Gulman (Frasco recently scored ‘The Great Depresh\,’ an HBO documentary exploring the comic’s struggles with depression that was produced by Judd Apatow and directed by Mike Bonfiglio)\, the song is equal parts self-help and sing-along\, and like much of the record to come\, it celebrates perseverance in the face of pain. The soulful “I’ve Got A Long Way To Go” reflects on the strength it takes to acknowledge your problems\, while the driving “Good Man” examines how hard (and how rewarding) it is to become a better version of yourself\, and the soaring “Animals” reaches out in solidarity to anyone who needs an a hand in the depths of their depression. \n“I host a podcast where I talk to musicians and comedians and actors about life on the road\,” says Frasco\, who’s interviewed everyone from Portugal. The Man to Todd Barry on his show. “Those conversations have been so eye opening\, and they helped me realize that I wasn’t alone in what I was dealing with. I wanted to find a way to offer that same comfort to people with my music.” \nWhile there are no shortcuts on the road to fulfillment\, Frasco did find some pearls of wisdom on his journey that he was eager to share. “Happiness is living in the moment\,” he proclaims on the epic “Shine\,” introducing a mantra that could easily double as a thesis statement for the record as a whole. The funky “None Of Those Things” affirms that material wealth can never compare to the riches that come from being present in the moment\, while the slinky “Getaway” declares that the only thing standing between us and our potential is ourselves\, and the tender “Feel It In Our Bones” promises that\, at the end of the day\, “you are never alone.” \n“I wanted to approach suffering with optimism on this record\,” reflects Frasco. “I’m not the kind of guy to sit there and drown in my sorrows; I’m the kind of guy who wants to get out and fight for my happiness. Change is possible if you’re willing to do the work. You’ve got just got to keep on keepin’ on.” \n  \nAbout DJ Dangler: \nListen | Watch Video \nD J Dangler grew up in a small Midwestern town. Being the youngest of six kids\, he was essentially ignored until his father realized he was probably big enough to be good at football. He occupied his time engaging in anything that would bring him attention; sports\, plays\, clubs\, arrests\, etc. \nHe graduated from college and moved to New York City. He loved it. It was like being born in a small Midwestern town was some sort of giant practical joke. That’s fine though\, he got the joke\, and it was very funny. D J knew he eventually wanted to go back to school\, and acquire newer\, fancier\, worthless degrees\, but while he was in New York\, he started telling jokes\, and people liked it. \nNow he travels around the country working clubs and colleges. He has appeared at Caroline’s on Broadway and Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. His style is sharp\, and high energy. He draws from his many and varied interests to relate to most any crowd. He blends New York cynicism with genuine Midwestern agreeability to present a different take on both the trivial and substantial aspects of life. \nD J is a firm believer that people are pretty much the same everywhere\, and if you can make those people laugh\, you don’t have to have a real job.

The band formed in 2013\, made up of frontman Jake Luppen\, co-frontman/guitarist Nathan Stocker\, bassist Zach Sutton\, and drummer Whistler Allen (on-stage the band use the code names Stitches\, Beans\, Espo\, and Turntan)\, all of whom met in high school in St. Paul. Hippo Campus wasted little time infiltrating the local scene\, with their high-energy live sets eventually attracting the attention of the management team behind fellow Minnesotans Trampled by Turtles and Low. Hippo Campus landed a slot at South by Southwest and made an appearance on Conan ahead of their 2014 debut EP\, Bashful Creatures\, which was produced by Low‘s Alan Sparhawk. The following year saw them ink a deal with Universal\, which soon released The Halocline EPs\, which repackaged Bashful Creatures and another EP\, South\, on one disc. In March 2017\, Hippo Campus released their long-awaited full-length debut\, Landmark. Just one year later they returned with their sophomore effort\, the eclectic and more electronics-driven Bambi. Included on the album were the singles “Passenger” the title track\, and “Golden.”

A six piece band including a pedal steel guitar\, fiddle and Isaac Rudd on acoustic guitar there aren’t many bands like them anymore. A self taught musician\, Isaac Rudd started with a $100 guitar and words on a legal pad. Today he has recorded over eight songs with John Mellencamps band (Dane Clark\, Jon Gee\, Larry Crane) at the Static Shack studio\, and is currently working on his first full length album at Eleven Productions Studios in Speedway\, Indiana. The band has opened for national touring artists such as Jason Michael Carroll\, Josh Turner\, Jerrod Niemann\, Dwight Yoakam\, Wheeler Walker Jr.\, and Steve Earle and is set to make a huge splash in the coming years. At only 23 years old\, Rudd and his Revolvers are on a path for solitude with heartfelt tunes like “I’d Be Missin’ You” and their newest release “Done Me Wrong”. If you go see this band\, and you will most definitely want to\, make sure you wear your dancing shoes and be prepared for beautiful original songs written by Isaac Rudd himself. \nAbout Myron Elkins & The Dying Breed\nListen | Watch Video  \nMyron Elkins is a 19 year-old from a small town in Michigan\, where friends are family and family are friends. Values matter where he’s from. It’s the kind of place where a handshake is your contract\, and you’re true to your family name. Where Grandpa taught you to play that guitar\, and Grandma taught you how to not be late for supper. Where you say your prayers\, and you don’t let fear get in the way of free thinking. Simple. Honest. \nAlong with his band\, The Dying Breed\, the music harkens back to the days of Hank Williams\, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. It isn’t contrived\, it’s just the way of life for he and The Dying Breed — McKinnon Elkins\, Avry Whitaker\, Caleb Stampfler and Ricky Wayne LaDuke. \nAnd when they do it\, on a Friday night at a local bar\, the community comes out to support them. Because that’s what small towns do. Because Myron Elkins and the boys are a dying breed.

But with his extraordinary new album\, The United State\, Wells has managed to transcend politics and race and religion and tap into something far deeper\, something infinitely more primal and timeless. Recorded with acclaimed producer Duane Lundy (Ringo Starr\, Sturgill Simpson’s Sunday Valley\, Joe Pug)\, the collection explores our innate humanity and everything that comes with it: the joy\, the sorrow\, the ecstasy\, the pain\, the hope\, the fear. Wells’ songs speak to the universal truths that bind us\, empathetically leaping between perspectives as they reckon with personal growth and existential quandaries. The arrangements here are rich and ethereal to match\, balancing lush sonic landscapes with stark acoustic meditations. The result is a subtly revelatory record\, a gripping\, cinematic album full of small moments and sharp insights that add up to nothing short of life itself. “Ultimately\, this album’s about unity\,” says Wells. “It’s about the common thread that connects us all.” After spending his childhood in Blanchard\, LA\, Wells moved with his family to Cynthiana\, Kentucky as a youngster. Growing up in the rural South\, he rebelled against the commercial country music that surrounded him\, instead preferring the trippy psychedelia of Pink Floyd and the brash energy of Guns N’ Roses. After an aimless couple of years trying to put a band together in rural Kentucky\, he moved to Lexington\, and immediately launched the cult favorite Southern rock band Fifth on the Floor. The group released a couple of well-received independent records before teaming up with Shooter Jennings on their breakout third album\, 2013’s Ashes & Angels\, which debuted on the Billboard Country charts. While the record earned raves and helped land the band dates with the likes of Chris Stapleton\, Sturgill Simpson\, Jason Isbell\, and Blackberry Smoke\, it would prove to be the group’s last\, and following a pair of hometown farewell shows\, the four-piece split for good. “When that band broke up\, it kicked me in the teeth. We’d spent years clawing upward\, and suddenly there was no wind\, no sails\,” says Wells. “That had been my dream since I was a teenager\, and all of my eggs were in that basket. There was no backup plan.” \nWith the rug suddenly pulled out from under him\, Wells found himself in freefall. Rather than succumb to the disappointment\, though\, he decided to write his way through the heartache\, emerging stronger and more creatively invigorated on the other side with his solo debut\, Dawn in the Distance. The record (and its subsequent touring) prompted the best reviews of Wells’ career\, with Rolling Stone hailing his “gift for melody” and Saving Country Music praising his “stunning insight and honesty.” The album reached #3 on Amazon’s Alt-Country/Americana chart\, and songs from the collection racked up more than a million streams on Spotify alone. \nWhen it came time to work on a follow-up\, Wells decided to flip his entire writing process on its head. Instead of penning whatever music just happened to come to mind\, he crafted an entire architecture and sequence for the record in advance\, following it like a road map as he wrote about what it meant to be human\, to be caring\, to love yourself and your fellow man\, flaws and all. “Tribalism is the name of the game at this point\,” says Wells. “‘Divided’ is a cliche. But if you zoom out\, we all bleed the same\, we all laugh the same\, we all cry the same. There’s this common path that all of our lives follow: birth\, being a dumbass kid\, thinking you’re falling in love\, actually falling in love\, starting a family. Worrying about paying the bills\, death\, whatever comes next.” Writing the album was a slower and more deliberate process than Wells had ever experienced\, and the recording sessions unfolded in a similarly methodical fashion. After brothers Daxx (Cheap Trick) and Miles Nielsen (Miles Nielsen and The Rusted Hearts) laid down rhythm tracks in Rockford\, IL\, Wells and Lundy cut vocals and guitars in Lexington with Laur Joamets (Sturgill Simpson\, Drivin’ N Cryin’) and Alex Muñoz (Margo Price\, Nikki Lane). GRAMMY-nominated producer/engineer/multi-instrumentalist Justin Craig\, meanwhile\, contributed additional guitar and percussion parts from his New York City studio\, and a slew of Wells’ friends and collaborators joined forces to help put the finishing touches on things back in Kentucky. \nThat communal spirit is the heart and soul of The United State which nods to our shared humanity with a stark\, black and white portrait of an elderly woman on the cover\, a lifetime of struggle and resilience and heartbreak and love etched in the lines on her face. After opening with an ethereal instrumental movement that radiates all the warmth and safety of the womb\, the collection begins in earnest with “The Screaming Song\,” a bittersweet meditation on the wonder and the terror that accompanies our entrance into this world. “It won’t be the last time I am on my own\,” Wells sings in his rich\, honeyed drawl\, at once capturing both the infinite beauty and unfathomable sadness that awaits each of us at birth. The record works its way through life chronologically\, as a series of snapshots of formative moments from a variety of narrators connected by their shared humanity. “No Time For A Broken Heart” recalls the playful country funk of The Band’s “Cripple Creek” as it celebrates the freedom of youth\, while the tender “Some Distance From It All” taps into the eternal teenage quest for independence and identity\, and the boisterous “Never Better” learns the difference between lust and love the hard way. As exuberant as the record begins\, there’s a distinct maturing on the album’s second half\, which finds adolescence giving way to adulthood. The soulful “After The Fall” and R&B-tinged “It’ll All Work Out” revel in the power of grown-up love\, while the breezy “Temporary Blue” and driving “Walls Fall Down” reflect on the growth and responsibility that come with raising a family of your own\, and the hypnotic “Ruby” and dreamy “The Bridge” approach death with a calm acceptance\, passing peacefully from this life to the next. “On my own\, on my own\, ’til I see you again\, I am on my own\,” Wells sings\, bringing the whole journey full circle. “Birth and death\, they’re just transitions\,” he muses. “There’s comfort there.” \nWe may never truly understand what happens when we shuffle off this mortal coil. Hell\, we may never truly understand what happens while we’re here. But with The United State Justin Wells has crafted an essential soundtrack to the journey.

Come be reminded of the hits and high energy performances that brought the Chili Pepper’s international acclaim. Having performed at many of the country’s most prestigious concert halls as well as every major tribute festival\, the Red Not’s sincere devotion to that classic Chili Pepper sound is filling venues and rocking people’s socks off around the US and abroad. With the ability to span over three decades of hits and hundreds of songs\, every show provides a unique and high energy live music experience. \nFormed in 2009\, the Red NOT Chili Peppers quickly rose to be the Nation’s most active Chili Pepper tribute as well as spanning the globe through Brazil\, Mexico\, and Japan. With world-class musicians on the roster\, the Red Not’s have stopped at nothing to develop the most accurate re-creation of that distinctive alternative funk rock sound pioneered by the Red Hot Chili Peppers; mix in a truly explosive performance and you have all the ingredients for the raging party that everyone expects from a Chili Pepper show. \n  \nAbout Chives: \nListen | Watch Video \n“Fast-paced punk and psychedelia culminate together to create what we call ‘Chives.’ Face-melting yet danceable tunes that bring any crowd to the soles of their shoes” -Maxwell Denari \n“After four years of 7-inch vinyl and cassette releases\, the arrival of the first full-length Chives LP is a major event for dedicated fans and an exciting introduction for new listeners. Led by singer-songwriter-guitarist Ryan Perkins\, the Indianapolis group is an intense but fun combination of punk-rock roots\, psychedelic vibes\, and a twisting\, turning\, angular punch that reminds me of Zappa\, Beefheart\, Sparks\, the Residents\, Snakefinger\, Devo\, and–well\, I think you get the picture! The title track has a great “majestic” heavy-metal feel\, but sabotages any generic possibilities with eccentric vocalizing and changes that feel like they come from Indiana avant-gurus MX-80 Sound\, not Metallica. Dig “Opus & Absentia\,” which seems to alternately reference Thin Lizzy\, the Sweet\, and Sparks–or something?–killer outta-kilter stuff! “Pistol” has a similar off-center heavy swagger–check them double leads! There are also some Chives favorites revived and re-arranged a bit: “Family Pearls\,” “Payasso\,” “Porcelain.” This is an amazing debut from a major talent who deserves to be known far outside Indiana and the Midwest!” –Eddie Flowers\, Vulcher magazine
