OK Cowgirl Hits the Road with Bear Hands + Drop Deluxe Album Edition

Published on May 27th, 2025

Brooklyn indie rock band, OK Cowgirl, is gearing up for a big summer. The band just announced they’ll be joining Bear Hands on an 18-city tour that will take them through the Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast — a coast-to-coast stretch that promises sweaty venues, singalongs, and plenty of cathartic indie rock moments.

If you’re in Indianapolis, don’t miss your chance to catch them live at the HI-FI on June 26. It’s a perfect chance to experience their high-energy set in one of the Midwest’s most beloved intimate venues. Grab your tickets now before they sell out!

They have also released a deluxe edition of their widely praised debut album, Couldn’t Save Us From My Gut, out now via Easy Does It Records. The expanded version dives deeper into the band’s world with six bonus tracks — including four never-before-heard demos and two alternate takes on fan-favorites, giving listeners an unfiltered look into OK Cowgirl’s creative process.

Originally released in August 2024 and produced by Alex Farrar (MJ Lenderman, Indigo De Souza, Wednesday), Couldn’t Save Us From My Gut has already made waves in the indie scene, earning love from The FADER, Paste, NME, Under the Radar, FLOOD, and more. Tracks like “Amber,” “Little Splinters,” “Larry David,” and “Our Love” have solidified the band as one of Brooklyn’s most promising new voices.

Fronted by Leah Lavigne, OK Cowgirl was born from a need to break out of artistic isolation. Classically trained on piano, Lavigne found herself craving more than the keys could offer — and more than solo performance could hold. The answer? A rock band that felt like community. With a crew made up of college dormmates, local bartenders, and even their producer, the band became a vehicle for Lavigne’s deeper emotional range and multicultural identity.

Six years of work culminated in a debut that feels both intimate and explosive — and now, with the deluxe release and a full tour ahead, OK Cowgirl is ready to share it with the world.

Stream the deluxe album now and catch them on tour at the HI-FI in Indy on June 26.
