Dizgo has quickly become one of Indiana’s most exciting bands.
This Indiana quartet is carving out their own lane in the jam scene, creating a genre-defying blend of jamtronica, funk, deep-groove soul, and psychedelic rock. Known for their intricate compositions and extended improvisations, Dizgo redefines the live music experience—equal parts sweaty dance party and introspective sonic journey.
Whether it’s shredding guitar solos, analog synth lines, or soulful vocals, Dizgo’s sound is layered and immersive—always unpredictable, always fresh.
The band has built a loyal following playing stand-out sets at Peach Music Festival, Summer Camp, Resonance, Werk Out, Sonic Bloom, and many more. They’ve also shared stages with jam heavyweights like Goose, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Papadosio, and The Main Squeeze—and they’re just getting started.
Billy Strings Heard It… and Loved It
At a recent set in Atlanta for Mental Awakening, Dizgo pulled off a move that surprised even their most loyal fans. Known for pushing genre boundaries, the band took a bold turn by covering “Stratosphere Blues,” the haunting, psychedelic standout from Billy Strings’ 2024 album Highway Prayers. While the original is rich with Floydian textures, Dizgo brought their own flavor—brooding keys, hypnotic grooves, and spaced-out improvisation that kept the crowd locked in.
The story gets better. According to the band, keyboardist Jake Evatt had the idea during soundcheck. Fast forward to showtime, and Dizgo had the guts to debut it live. After the show, they shared a clip of the cover on social media… and who popped into the comments? Billy Strings himself. His reaction? “Wow this is better than the original ❤️🙌❤️🙌.”
