Alt-indie artist Elise Trouw’s highly anticipated EP Losing Sleep out today!
Trouw says “Musically, this EP represents the kind of genre blending that I am drawn to in the music of the artists I love. Collaborating with KOIL brought a new life to these songs I’ve worked on over the last couple years, as some kind of self therapy- they reflect on the lessons and growth experienced from relationships in my young adulthood.”
To celebrate the new EP, Trouw kicks off her 23-date U.S. tour on March 12th in Boulder, CO. The tour is the first production of D Tour, a network of independent venues and promoters offering national artists locally owned, unique venue experiences across multiple markets in the US.
About Elise Trouw
Born in San Diego to a South African father and a mother from New York in the very last year of the millennium. Raised on The Carpenters, Green Day, and 80s New Wave. Her musical inspiration first occurred at six years old when she heard the haunting piano melody in “My Immortal” by Evanescence during a five-hour plane ride as she played it repeatedly. She immediately begged her parents for piano lessons and her musical journey began, usually practicing at five in the morning before school each day much to her parents’ dismay.
Recently, Elise had the honor of filling in on drums for Seal at one of his shows and has recently written with Andy Summers from The Police, Finneas, Hall of Fame Songwriter Steve Dorff, and is currently working with Grammy Award winning producer Daniel Tashian (Kacey Musgraves/Golden Hour) for new music to be released in the fall of 2022.
