Punk-rock indie band White Reaper recently released their third album Asking For A Ride before they kick off their tour in February.
From Louisville, Kentucky, the five-piece band first formed in the 2010s and released their debut EP White Reaper in 2014. Tony Esposito [guitar, vocals], Ryan Hater [keys], Hunter Thompson [guitar], Nick Wilkerson [drums, percussion], and Sam Wilkerson [bass] – have arrived as one of the 21st century’s preeminent rock bands. Ushering in a new era, White Reaper are unapologetically embracing their collective essence – musically sincere and uncontainable on stage.
Brady Gerber from Pitchfork notes the band has “been one album away from their big break for a while—Asking for a Ride confirms that they have evolved from writing songs daydreaming of playing stadiums to writing songs that would sound huge in one”.
Sadie Bell of Alternative Press states that while recording the album, “the group found themselves reflecting on how they’ve curated a live experience, complete with boyish charm and bountiful shredding, that means the world to them”.
