Upcoming HI-FI Indy Band Writes Score For New Major Film

Published on Apr 13th, 2022

Son Lux composed the 49-track musical score for the new sci-fi/action film Everything Everywhere All At Once.

In 2019, alt-indie trio Son Lux was approached with the amazing opportunity to write the soundtrack for Everything Everywhere All At Once, a new sci-fi/action film directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. Ryan Lott, Son Lux founder and member, tells IndyStar that most of the music was created in Broad Ripple, Indianapolis at Monon Coffee Co.

Lott and his wife, Jennifer, bought a house in the artsy Indy neighborhood and they currently split their time between Southern California where both of their careers are based and where their family is in Indy.

In addition to composing the soundtrack for this new film, the band also wrote and recorded a triple album titled “Tomorrows I, II and III”.

Entertainment company A24 describes the film as “a hilarious and big-hearted sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can’t seem to finish her taxes.”

Son Lux kicks off their North American tour on April 27th in Washington D.C. and will wrap up at HI-FI Indy on June 2nd. Then starting in the July, the band embarks on a small European tour. Get tickets for their June 2nd show in Indy HERE.
