HI-FI Annex officially opens its gates on Friday, April 22nd to welcome the warm weather and outdoor music season! Including local Indiana bands such as Ovrslept and Dizgo.
April 22: FREE HI-FI Annex Opening Night – Ovrslept w/ guests
HI-FI Annex’s opening night will preview three extraordinary Indiana artists: Ovrslept, Moon Goons, and Taylor Hall. Ovrslept is a Emo/Hip-Hop band fronted by Sirius Blvck and Jonah Crouch with members of Kiddo and Spero. Ovrslept put out their first record Bad Weather on September 25th 2020.
There will be games such as Jenga and corn hole to keep everyone entertained. Admission is FREE so bring your friends or the whole family to celebrate the return of outdoor live music!
April 23: Dizgo w/ Kick The Cat
Dizgo is back at HI-FI Annex with friends Kick The Cat! Together they kick off the FIRST official HI-FI Annex show of the year. Get your tickets HERE.
Dizgo redefines the live experience by blending jamtronica with funk, deep-groove soul, and psychedelic rock, taking the audience on a musical journey that includes intricate compositions and extended improvisation. The result is something both danceable and introspective: soulful vocals, interweaving analog synths, and shredding guitar all which join forces under the banner of Dizgo.
Kick The Cat, with Umphrey’s McGee drummer Kris Myers, is an internationally renowned fusion quartet. Musically, the band falls within the virtuosic lineage of classic fusion and prog ensembles, but draws on contemporary groove elements, electronics, and a healthy dose of humor. The result is a heady, yet approachable, combination of mind-bending rhythms, harmonies, and kaleidoscopic textures.
