Pedro the Lion Returns with New Album ‘Havasu’—Out Now!

The indie rock band, Pedro the Lion released their new album Havasu on January 20, 2022. Stream or buy the album HERE.

The album is based on Bazan’s childhood when he lived in Lake Havasu, AZ for one year when he was in middle school. While working on this project, Bazan returned to Lake Havasu about 5 times over several years. Although he did not live in the city long, many memories began to flood back to Bazan when he visited. Reflecting on this project and his childhood, Bazan states that this album “helped me see myself”. Bazan underwent a complete personal transformation during this project. He pushed himself to shed the stress of harmful work habits he had deemed normal and to open his mind and live in the present moment. This project also allowed Bazan to be vulnerable with himself and others.

The band kicks off their US tour in April with a show at Record Bar in Kansas City, MO. Pedro the Lion will be on the HI-FI stage on April 30th.
