ARTIST PROFILE | Jack Kays

AlternativeIndie

Alternative singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jack Kays most recently released his new single “Blow It” to critical acclaim. Accompanied by a world premiere with Sirius XM's Alt Nation, “Blow It” was written and produced by Jack himself alongside Matt Squire (Sabrina Carpenter, Panic! At The Disco, All Time Low), and finds Jack’s unique and powerful vocals accompanied by driving production.

In speaking about “Blow It,” Jack says: “for a long time, I was the guy from my high school who everybody thought was gonna go nowhere. I don’t remember much from that period, but I do remember how angry it made me feel. I think this song does a good job capturing that feeling without pulling any punches.”

Last month, Jack played Bottlerock Festival in Napa, CA. In September, Jack will be making festival appearances at Riot Fest in Chicago, and the inaugural Love Letters Festival in Salt Lake City, UT. He also recently announced his 2nd annual Jack’s Jam, a holiday hometown festival at Bogart’s in Cincinnati on November 29, which will feature special guests Peter McPoland, Evan Honer, and Massie.

A 25-year-old Cincinnati native, Jack Kays is celebrated for his raw, emotive vocals and introspective songwriting. Beginning his musical journey at just three years old with the drums, Jack has since mastered ten instruments, blending punk, folk, alternative, and hip-hop influences. His 2021 debut album, MIXED EMOTIONS, and the collaborative EP MY FAVORITE NIGHTMARES with Travis Barker, showcased his exploration of themes like mental health, isolation, and addiction. With over 260 million streams, his 2023 hit "Caffeine" marked his first radio airplay and earned him Spotify's ‘New Noise Artist To Watch 2024.’ Through sold-out tours and his hometown festival Jack’s Jam Kays remains dedicated to his mission: making people feel less alone.
