In an effort to encourage fans to get to local independent venues and support their favorite bands, Independent Venue Week has unveiled a new collection of merch embossed with the rallying cry to “Buy A F*cking Ticket.”
Available to pre-order now, all net proceeds from purchases through November 28 featuring this new design will be donated to the National Independent Venue Foundation (NIVF), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Fans that have already bought themselves their tickets or intend to do so can save 20% by sharing proof of purchase of a ticket to an independent venue and tagging Independent Venue Week on social media.
Amid the recent artist posts of the grim realities of modern touring thanks to exploding costs, logistical logjams, and shrinking possibilities for artists and venues to make a return on revenue, all the players in the live music space are finding themselves in a bind. Independent Venue Week invites fans to proudly support the venues important to them and “Buy A F*cking Ticket”, the tried and true best way to make sure that their favorite rooms can continue to exist for future generations.
With this new collection of merch now available at Independent Venue Week’s online store, fans can show off this poignant call to action with pride, and at a cheaper price for those who show proof of purchasing said ticket. By posting a photo of a ticket purchase to any independent venue for shows taking place after October 27, 2022 to social media with the hashtag #buyafuckingticket and tagging Independent Venue Week (FB | IG | TWTR) fans can receive a 20% discount code to Independent Venue Week’s merch store sent as a private message.
