After 5 years of fixing, adjusting and fiddling with broken falling down marquee letters, we’ve got a brand new sign and marquee. To say we are excited is an understatement.
We are grateful for the support of our friends at LISC Indy, who awarded HI-FI a Facade Improvement Grant nearly two years ago. After navigating the demanding restrictions of the Indiana Historic Preservation Commission, and patiently waiting through pandemic delays, our new sign is shining bright above the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. The talented folks at Monochrome Signs did an incredible of job matching the design to the historic beauty of the Murphy Arts Center.
While this may not seem like a big deal to most, it’s a major reward for our team. The nightly changing of our marquee is now a safer experience for our team, and is a much faster process. Plus, it’s hard to believe we’ve never had any light to illuminate our sign. Since 80% of our guests arrive at HI-FI after the sun goes down, the new sign is welcomed beacon to our regular and out-of-town visitors.
Here’s a quick look at the installation of the new sign, as well as the before and after.
