CHIP x HI-FI Clothing Drive Collection Now until End of January

We’re proud to partner with our neighbor CHIP – Coalition For Homelessness Intervention & Prevention this season with a clothing drive at all HI-FI shows from now until the end of January. All donations collected will support Indianapolis’s Winter Contingency Plan, providing warmth and safety for individuals experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis during the harsh winter months. Coats, gloves, hats, socks, and warm layers are especially helpful. New items are preferred, but gently used winter gear is also welcome.

HI-FI Announces New Ticketing Partnership With TIXR

We are committed to delivering an exceptional ticketing experience for our fans, backed by the latest tools and technology to support our expanding operations. Over the past 18 months, we have thoroughly evaluated nearly every ticketing company in the U.S. and U.K.

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Tixr, an industry-leading international ticketing provider, to power our operations for the coming years. After an extensive search and receiving numerous endorsements from artists and talent agents, we have officially teamed up with Tixr and begun rolling out our first shows on the new platform.

Fans can look forward to a cutting-edge mobile ticketing experience that caters to modern devices, while still offering excellent in-person service and printed tickets for our nostalgic customers. With over 80% of our customers purchasing tickets via mobile devices, our partnership with Tixr ensures a seamless experience across any device.

If you do not have a Tixr account, we recommend setting one up so you will be ready to roll when that next must-see show is announced. It’s free and easy to create an account.

Due to the volume of shows and the time it takes to ensure a smooth transition, we want to inform you that tickets will be available on both SeeTickets and Tixr for a short period. As you may have noticed, we’ve already begun announcing Tixr-powered shows this week. We are committed to a swift and seamless transition to our new partner, with minimal impact on our customers.

Tickets purchased on either platform will be valid and will not experience any interruptions during the admission process. Once we’ve fully transitioned to our new partner, we will exclusively use Tixr for our events. All new shows announced this week and going forward will be available through Tixr.

Transition Period

All MOKB Presents events at HI-FI, HI-FI Annex, and LO-FI Lounge will now be powered by Tixr, along with select shows at venues like Nickel Plate District Amphitheatre. Since we promote shows at various venues, some events will continue to use the venue’s existing ticketing partners, such as The Vogue, Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Fishers Event Center.

New Marketing Partnership with Cymbal

We are also enhancing our marketing efforts to be more efficient, reducing the number of messages you receive. Our aim is to provide only relevant information to you. We have partnered with Cymbal, an innovative venue-focused technology partner, to streamline our communication. Weekly emails will soon transition to MOKB Presents branding, consolidating our messages under one banner. This will help you discover more shows across Indiana without receiving duplicate information.

Flashback: HI-FI Annex Creation

During one of the pandemic era “restarts” it became evident that Covid-19 would continue to wreak havoc on the live music business. On June 20, 2020, during a show with Huckleberry Funk, HI-FI co-owner Josh Baker sketched the idea the annex on the back of a napkin outside the green room. The concept featured shipping containers that formed an outdoor music experience that would allowing HI-FI to continue hosting shows. Thanks to the hard work of Aaron Betzner (and his sons) of A Squared Fabrication, this idea became a reality quicker than we thought. In just 30 days, on July 17, 2020, HI-FI Annex hosted its first show with Saint Aubin & Brother O’ Brother. Over the years, The Annex has evolved in to a full fledged music venue and is renowned as one of Indy’s most unique live music venues.

Flashback: HI-FI Expansion & Remodel 2017

After a complete renovation over the Winter holidays of 2016, HI-FI hosted its first show in the newly expanded venue with Otis Gibbs on January 20, 2017. The new HI-FI has become a staple on the national touring circuit and has become a proving ground for emerging artists in Indianapolis.
