Street Pennies is a band that defies easy categorization. They're rooted in blues, but they're not afraid to branch out and explore other genres. Their live shows are a testament to this, as they seamlessly blend crowd favorites with deep cuts and heavy-hitting musical timbres.
Formed in Bloomington, Indiana in the fall of 2021 in , they quickly made a name for themselves in the local scene. They've headlined over a dozen shows at The Bluebird, a legendary venue that has hosted some of the biggest names in music.
The band is led by the powerhouse vocals of Ollie Grcich and Lucas Hallal, who command the stage with their dynamic, soulful presence. Backed by a tight-knit rhythm section and powerful soloists, the band creates a sound that is both familiar and fresh, drawing on the rich traditions of blues while pushing the boundaries of what's possible. It's music that demands to be felt, not just heard.

About the Venue
HI-FI is located inside the historic Murphy Arts Center in the heart of Fountain Square. HI-FI shows virtually every night of the week and is known for finding new artists on the rise. The venue is acoustically one of the best sounding venues in the Midwest. The entrance is located at the front of the building on Virginia Ave and the Indianapolis Cultural Trail.
